Qt Visual Studio Add-in

The Qt development tools are seamlessly integrated to Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and later. The Qt Visual Studio Add-in allows developers to use the standard development environment without having to worry about any Qt-related build steps or tools.

The main features of the add-in are:

  • Wizards for creating new Qt projects and classes.
  • Automated build setup for the Meta-Object Compiler(moc), the User Interface Compiler (uic), and the Resource Compiler (rcc).
  • Import and export of Qt Project {.pro} and Project Include {.pri} files.
  • Automated conversion of VS add-in to QMake project or the other way around.
  • Integrated Qt resource management.
  • Integrated Qt documentation.
  • Debugging extensions for Qt data types.

Note: The Qt Visual Studio Add-in will not work on Visual Studio Express editions.
