Maintaining Qt SDK

You can use the Qt SDK Maintenance Tool to add and remove SDK components, as well as to update the installed components. The Maintenance Tool consists of an updater and a package manager.

Updating Installed Components

The updater lists the available updates and provides a short description of each update. You can select the updates to install.

To update installed components:

  1. Choose Start > Qt SDK > Update Qt SDK.
  2. Select Update components and click Next.

  3. Select the updates to install and click Next.
  4. Click Update.

Adding and Removing Components

The package manager lists the componens available for installation and a short description of each component. Installed components are shown selected in the list. You can select additional components to install or deselect installed components to uninstall them.

To add and remove components:

  1. Choose Start > Qt SDK > Maintain Qt SDK.
  2. Select Package manager and click Next.

  3. Select uninstalled components to install or deselect installed components to uninstall, and then click Next.
  4. Click Update.

To remove all components, select Remove all components in the Setup - Qt SDK dialog.

Specifying Proxy Settings

By default, the Qt SDK Maintenance Tool does not use any proxy settings. You can select to use the system proxy settings or specify the proxy settings manually.

To edit proxy settings, select Settings.
