修正ユリウス暦は、ミランコヴィッチ暦、または正式には新暦とも呼ばれ、1923年にセルビアの科学者ミルチン・ミランコヴィッチによって開発・提唱された暦で、この暦を採用している東方正教会と、世界的に主流となっているグレゴリオ暦との間で340年間続いていた日付の呼称の乖離を事実上解消するものである。この暦は、それまですべての東方正教会が使用していたユリウス暦に基づく教会暦に取って代わることを意図したものであった。修正ユリウス暦は、1582年に教皇グレゴリウス13世がキリスト教世界に採用するよう宣言したグレゴリオ暦と一時的に日付を合わせた。この暦は、コンスタンチノープル、アルバニア、アレクサンドリア、アンティオキア、ブルガリア、キプロス、ギリシャ、ポーランド、ルーマニアの正教会で採用されている。
