Clate 0.6 (Beta)

Clate 0.6 is the first beta. It targets Qt 6.12 and runs on Windows and macOS.

Design​

  • Work on an infinite canvas with pages, and organize your design in the Layers panel.
  • Draw with the drawing tools, and move, resize, and rotate objects.
  • Align and distribute objects, and copy, paste, and duplicate them.
  • Edit every object in the property editor, including fills, strokes, gradients, and text.

Assets​

  • Import images and other assets, use them in your design, rename them, and delete them.

Projects​

  • Clate saves projects automatically.
  • Clate includes the example project Welcome to Clate.

AI​

  • Use the built-in AI Assistant to create and change designs.
  • Connect any AI tool that supports MCP to Clate's MCP server.

Preview and export​

  • Preview your design running in its own window.
  • Export your design to QML and use it in your own Qt application.

Known limitations​

This is a beta. Some features are not finished, and this documentation is still growing together with the product.

  • Components are not supported yet. You cannot create reusable components or use instances of them, even though the Hierarchy panel has a Components tab. Build your design from frames, shapes, text, and images for now.
