Alle Standardfunktionen von Anwendungshauptfenstern werden von Qt bereitgestellt.
Hauptfenster können Pulldown-Menüs, Symbolleisten und Andockfenster haben. Diese separaten Formen der Benutzereingabe sind in einem integrierten Aktionssystem vereint, das auch Tastaturkürzel und Beschleunigungstasten in Menüpunkten unterstützt.
