Version 3.1.0

Squish Test Center 3.1.0 is a feature release that is primarily centered around the new Annotation feature which is a big step forward in analyzing and working with test results. See the following sections for a complete list of all changes.

Annotations

Annotations are a new way to mark and comment on test results. Annotations can be added to Tests on the Explore View, or History View, and they can be added to Events on the Verification View. Annotations expand on the feature set of comments in that they are much more visible, you can filter tests by annotations, they are tracked in the statistics view of the history, and they can override results. Furthermore annotations can be added to individual batches, or you can define a time frame and they will be added to all batches within that timeframe.

General enhancements

• Added support for the Qt Test xml result format
• The Verification was reworked to improve the result browsing experience and provide better readability.
• The Manual Test Execution Overview can now be filtered by users to help with manual test assignments.
• The resource usage of coverage reporting in Test Center was improved by providing a way to configure the maximal number of Coco helper processes. In the application.ini you can now set the MaxNumberOfHelperProcess configuration value, which defaults to 6 processes.

3rd-party tool integration

• Fixes and improvements for the Polarion ALM Integration
  • You can now configure the test case type identifier using the application.ini and the PolarionTestType configuration value.
  • The initial state of Polarion tests created from within Test Center can now be configured using the application.ini and the PolarionTestStatus configuration value. The default value is active and remains unchanged.
  • Resolved an issue with the test run template configuration, which did not work for projects that contained spaces in their names.
• Fixed an issue with creating test steps when using the Zephyr Squad Cloud integration.
