TextInputManager は、text_input_unstable_v2 拡張プロトコルのzwp_text_input_manager_v2 インターフェイスに対応します。
これをWaylandCompositor の子としてインスタンス化すると、クライアントが利用できるインターフェースのリストに追加されます。クライアントがこれにバインドすると、そのクライアントへのテキスト入力の通信に使用されます。
