Version 4.3.0
Test Center 4.3.0 is a minor release that focusses on traceability features, including support for Xray Cloud and test file traceability mapping of traceability items.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed bug where Test Path Matching would find files that weren't on the searched branch.
Xray Cloud integrations
Test Center adds support for Xray Test Management for Jira Cloud, allowing a Test Center project to be directly synchronized with an Xray Cloud project hosted in Xray Cloud.
The integration enables Xray Cloud-managed tests to be imported into Test Center via the Traceability Views, making them available for mapping and reporting.
Test execution results can be synchronized from Test Center back to Xray Cloud. Results may be pushed into existing Xray Test Executions or, alternatively, new Test Executions can be created automatically from existing Xray Test Plans.
For Xray Cloud manual test results, Test Center creates iterations in Xray, linking the Test Center labels and parameters to Xray Test Datasets.
In addition, Test Center supports creating new Xray Cloud tests directly from Test Center tests, similar to other integrations. Test creation can optionally include detailed test steps, enabling a seamless transfer of test definitions into Xray Cloud without manual duplication.
Test File Traceability Mapping
Test Center now supports test file traceability mapping of traceability items from mapped repositories. If the tests contain references to traceability ticket keys or IDs, Test Center can scan the configured repositories and automatically map those references to existing traceability items.
The mapping is performed per traceability type and requires the traceability items to be available in the Traceability Views. Users can trigger the import directly from the traceability pages via the Repository Mappings dialog, where repositories and branches are selected. It is also possible to trigger it with testcentercmd, in the same way as other traceability actions.
This feature reduces manual effort and helps keep traceability links synchronized directly from the test source code.
Manual Testing
Added an example Python script for importing manual tests from qTest Excel exports.
